Short Stay/Multiple Entry Visa - Documents Required
General Requirements for Schengen Visa
- 1 Schengen Visa application (fully completed and signed)
- 2 recent photographs
- A valid passport (valid for at least 3 months after the end of the planned journey)
- Residence Card (Garda Immigration Card ) should be valid for at least 90 days after returning to the country of residence
- Confirmed travel itinerary
- Confirmed hotel reservations
- If attending conference, meeting, etc.- any documentary proof
- If visiting family or friends – Invitation letter from Portugal
- Medical/Health Insurance covering the period of stay in the Schengen countries
- Letter from the employer with recent pay slips or proof of business
- Recent bank statement
- If married to an EU national, marriage certificate as well as passport of spouse
Extra Requirements for Short Term/Multiple Entry Visas
- Certificate of Criminal records which must be translated into Portuguese
- Official medical certificate attesting good health without any contagious disease
- Proof of housing accommodation
- Proof of financial support
