Consular Services - National Visas
Visas such as Residence Visa, Student Visa, Work Visa and Temporary Stay Visas are valid only for Portugal.
Residence Visa
- Enables the applicant to enter Portugal in order to request for a Residence Permit;
- This visa is valid for a period of six months with two entries;
Student Visa
- Allows the applicant to enter Portugal for the purpose of study, work relating to scientific investigation, apprentice in the educational establishments or firms or public departments;
- This type of visa is valid for one year with multiple entries.
Work Visa
- Allows the bearer to enter Portugal in order to exercise professional activities for a maximum period of three years and in the following categories:
- Work I, Sports and Drama;
- Work II, Scientific Investigation;
- Work III, Services Rendered;
- Work IV, Professional Activities (dependant/temporary)
- This type of visa is valid for one year with multiple entries.
Temporary Stay Visa
- Permits the holder to enter Portugal for medical treatment in the Health Services. This visa can also be issued to family members of those already holding either Study, Work, Temporary Stay or Residence Visa and in exceptional cases only.
- This type of visa is valid for one year with multiple entries.
